We, as concerned citizens, hereby petition the State Board of Education, our state legislators, our governor, and all local school boards and charter schools to ensure no instruction or materials, including highly controversial comprehensive sexuality education (CSE), be given to children in our schools:
We warn that the implementation of highly controversial and failed CSE programs in our public schools (see failure rates at SexEdReport.org) will cause many parents to either a) opt their children out of sex education entirely resulting in fewer children receiving instruction on sexual risk avoidance, or (b) withdraw their children from public schools altogether.
We further assert that our schools are not the appropriate place to push political or sexual agendas that advance divisive issues or controversial “sexual rights” at the expense of sexual health. Parents who wish to instruct their children on such issues can do so at home.
